Bra is one of the major centers of the Baroque Piedmontese. Of great impact are the impressive buildings that overlook the old market square (now Caduti per la Libertà square), forming ideal frames for the square: the Town Hall, Palazzo Mathis, Palazzo Garrone and church of S. Andrea.
The square, in the center of which is the statue of San Giuseppe Cottolengo, is located in the historically oldest part of the city center, called "della Rocca", and a short walk from it you can walk the upper part of the porch of the 'Wing which, overlooking Corso Garibaldi and piazza XX Settembre, offers the opportunity to capture not only an impressive panorama of the historic center but also the opportunity to reach historic buildings such as Church of SS. Trinity (best known in the city as the Church of the White Battles), the birthplace of San Giuseppe Benedetto Cottolengothe historic Palazzo Guerra and the Red Palace, to finally get to church of S. Maria degli Angeli.
Along the streets that from Piazza Caduti Libertà lead to the hilly part of the historic center you can admire the historic Palazzo Valfrè di Bonzo, in the corner between Via Serra and Via Monte di Pietà, chapel of the Holy Rosary (recently restored) and the Gothic Palazzo Traversa. Going further up to the Guglielmo Mountain, the highest point of the city, you reach the park of the Zizzola, octagonal plan building symbol of Bra. In the north part of the city lies the sanctuary of the Madonna dei Fiori, a religious complex built in memory of the apparition of the Virgin Mary to Egidia Mathis in 1336.
In the hamlets, great artistic relief covers the monumental complex of Pollenzo consisting of the castle, the agency and the parish church that are facing the central square of the ancient Roman city. UNESCO, the United Nations organization that deals with the world's cultural and artistic heritage, has put Pollenzo into the "World Heritage" among the heritage assets of humanity.
