Alzheimer Cafè starts again in June, the project started by the municipal administration of Bra in collaboration with the association "La Cordata", the association "Insieme" and the inter-parish city Caritas to support people affected by this neurodegenerative disease and their families. These are self-help meetings in which people who experience this problem and their relatives can find themselves in an atmosphere of normality, talk with other people, sharing experiences and good practices.
The first appointment is scheduled for Friday 5 June 2020, from 9.30 to 12, at the Intercommunal Meeting Center in via Montegrappa in Bra. The rules dictated for the containment of the Covid 19 pandemic, however, make it impossible for people with dementia to participate in these meetings, which will currently be exclusively reserved for family members and / or caregivers.
Individual meetings are then dedicated to the latter, conducted by the two psychologists who follow the service, Dr. Luisa Curti and Alessia Morelli. However, these must be booked by calling the numbers 349-8314730 (dr. Morelli) or 347-8859510 (dr. Curti).
The appointments, free and open to family members of the sick resident in Bra or in another of the municipalities of the basin that belongs to the city of Zizzola (Cherasco, Ceresole d'Alba, La Morra, Narzole, Pocapaglia, Sanfrè, Santa Vittoria d'Alba , Sommariva del Bosco, Sommariva Perno and Verduno), will take place in such a way as to ensure full compliance with social distancing measures. In particular, it will be possible to access the structure only if equipped with a mask and gloves.
The following meetings will take place on the mornings of Friday 19 and 26 June, ending on 3 July. (rb)
