This year the ceremony with which Bra celebrated April 25 turned out to be an event certainly different from the usual, but no less heartfelt and engaging. In the impossibility of giving life to traditional public parades, in fact, the mayor Gianni Fogliato paid tribute to the memory of those who fought for our freedom by placing a laurel wreath at the plaque in Piazza Caduti per la Libertà, in a commemoration sent streaming on the Facebook page of the Municipality.
A completely new but certainly successful way of celebrating the seventy-fifth anniversary of the Liberation, as evidenced by the fact that the event recorded a really high number of views: 8 thousand, among those who attended the ceremony live and the many who instead watched the deferred video on the Municipality's Facebook page and YouTube channel, where it is still visible.
"It is not an April 25 with street demonstrations," said mayor Fogliato in his speech, "health comes first. Even if distant, I would like it to be a moment of participation, union and hope, which knows how to offer the strength and tenacity to be able to see a horizon of liberation. I believe that the sense of remembering this exceptional page of our history lies also in the desire to update the values that animated it. It is essential to reaffirm the founding values of our democracy and to help create a society in which everyone shares in a collective hope, which we need more than ever before ".
Equally followed was the appointment held in the afternoon on the Radio Braontherocks web, when as part of the broadcast "#Iorestoacasa - The voice of the mayor" the president of the city council and historian Fabio Bailo told the general public some episodes of partisan events related to the City of Bra.
