The drought emergency of the summer of 2003 affected the national electricity supply capacity, both for the considerable increase in consumption (in particular for the use of air conditioning systems) and for the impossibility of proceeding with production at full capacity by power plants. There could therefore be disconnections of the electricity supply according to the provisions contained in the electricity service safety plan by the National Transmission Grid Operator (GRTN).
The plan contains, divided by hourly intervals, the areas (streets) of the city affected by the disconnection of electricity for a maximum period of one and a half hours if half an hour before the disconnection GRTN communicates the actual need to implement the disconnection. Also for the City of Bra there is a secondment plan divided by days of the week and intervention periods.
Please note:: Scheduled separations between 7.30 and 9 are intended to be postponed to the 16.30-18 range (23.07.2003 Enel Distribution-UTR-PIL communication).
Legend: The documents show the areas (divided by streets) where the disconnection of electricity can occur.
Water is a public good and must be used according to the principles of solidarity and water saving, guaranteeing primarily human use, followed by agricultural and then industrial use. It is on the basis of this fundamental principle that the water emergency is being addressed in some Italian regions, particularly felt in this period in the Po basin, the largest river in our country.
The Municipal Administration, having consulted the concessionaire of the Gead water service, for the persistence of the period of drought, as a precaution and in order to guarantee the supply of drinking water for domestic use to all families as well as for sanitary reasons, has issued an ordinance, similarly to what happened in other locations in Piedmont, with which it prohibits the use of drinking water for private use supplied by the municipal aqueduct for the irrigation of non-productive vegetable gardens and gardens, car washing, filling of swimming pools and any other use unrelated to human needs from 7 to 22.
Anyone who fails to comply with the contents of the ordinance may be sanctioned on the basis of the provisions of current legislation.
The control room, coordinated by the head of civil protection Bertolaso has developed a strategy that is already giving its first results. On the site you will find, in addition to the monitoring data provided by the Civil Protection Department, also a useful booklet on how to use water in daily life by reducing any waste. The manual.
