The cinema under the stars lights up the nights of the Braid summer. From June to September, the “Periferia heart of the city” returns to the Zizzola, a traveling festival of auteur cinema which, touching streets and squares of neighborhoods and hamlets, will bring the best of national and international cinema to Bra.
Two appointments dedicated to short films will open and close the event: on June 16, 2016 at Palazzo Traversa (via Parpera, 4) will be screened "I Corti del Liceo", a web trilogy created by the students of the "Giolitti-Gandino" of Bra in collaboration with the Cinema Engineering course of the Polytechnic of Turin, which re-proposes - in a modern key - Homer's Iliad, “contaminated” by TV series and contemporary culture. If the last evening of "Periferia cuore della città" (8 September) will present the 2017 edition of "Corto in Bra" through the most beautiful short films in the history of the Festival, another eleven evenings - on Thursdays starting at 22 pm - will offer the opportunity for a quality overview of the world of cinema in recent years.
After the inauguration evening, Thursday 23 June 2016 in Piazza Caduti per la Libertà will be screened “The last word. The true story of Dalton Trumbo ”, which tells the life of the screenwriter of“ Roman Holiday ”and“ Spartacus ”, played by the protagonist of the acclaimed“ Breaking Bad ”series. The following Thursday, June 30th, “Perfect strangers” in Pollenzo, Fabio Genovesi's film awarded with the David di Donatello followed, on July 7th in Fey, by the hilarious comedy with Checco Zalone “Quo vado?”. On July 14 in the Oltreferrovia district, Woody Allen's latest film "Irrational man", starring Joaquin Phoenix and Emma Stone, will be screened, while on July 21 in the hamlet of San Michele, "Veloce come il vento", a story of talent and obstinacy for four wheels, with Stefano Accorsi in the role of rally legend Loris De Martino. On July 28 the appointment is in Bandito with the French comedy "Tutti pazzi in casa mia", while on August 4 Claudio Santamaria and Luca Marinelli will be the performers in via Sobrero of "Lo Chiamavano Jeeg Robot". "We made it big", by and with Carlo Verdone and Antonio Albanese, is scheduled for 11 August in the Riva hamlet, followed on 18 August in San Matteo by the epic story of multiple champion Jesse Owens "The Race" and, 25 August in Madonna Fiori, from “The little prince”, delicate animation with the voices of Paola Cortellesi, Stefano Accorsi, Toni Servillo, Alessandro Gassman, Alessandro Siani and Pif. On September XNUMXst in Piazza Giolitti under the stars Giuseppe Tornatore's “Correspondence”, with Jeremy Irons, followed, on the following Thursday, by the “Cinema Corto” Selection.
