Monday 18 March, at the 21 at the Teatro Politeama Boglione in Piazza Carlo Alberto, is staged "In order not to die of the Mafia", a theatrical version of the homonymous book by Pietro Grasso, National Anti-Mafia Prosecutor. A man against, who for years put his professionalism and his life in the forefront, to save the hope of a possible future. Through the words of Grasso, the actor Sebastiano Lo Monaco brings on stage the story of the mafia of the last 40 years, in a vibrant monologue in which the theater finds its civil and educational function. Directed by Alessio Pizzech, Lo Monaco masterly descends into the role of the Procurator, immersing himself in a complex character with two souls - the man and the magistrate - who scrutinize and question each other, between fears, family choices and small acts of courage, and then merge into one fascinating personality. "As long as the Mafia exists we need to talk about it, discuss it, react" says Grasso in his book: in the wake of this imperative, the public gradually becomes the protagonist of a choice, while the actor engraves with chalk on a big blackboard names and dates, processes, facts, witnesses and massacres perpetrated from the late seventies to today. A choice of legality, which becomes part of each of us when Sebastiano Lo Monaco overturns the blackboard, which reflects in a large mirror all the audience. Because each of us can do our part to face a phenomenon on which silence must not fall. "Not to die of the mafia" is scheduled for Monday 18 March at 21 at the Teatro Politeama Boglione di Bra.
