The Civil Status Office deals with the registration in the registers of the death certificates of all deceased subjects in Bra, regardless of residence.
The office receives the funeral arrangements from the Undertakers: it checks the documentation, the compilation of the cemetery file, the formation of the death certificate and subsequent communications both for the municipality of birth and for the corresponding criminal record . He will communicate the death to the Registry Office which will forward it to Ina Saia.
In the case of citizens resident in another Italian municipality, the office will send a copy of the death certificate to the municipality of residence - for the purposes of transcription - which in this way will erase the person from his registry and produce the relevant certification.
Similarly, the Civil Status Office receives a copy of the death certificate to be transcribed, of a citizen residing in Bra, who died in another Municipality and provides for the communication of cancellation to the Registry Office and for the forwarding of the same through Ina Saia. Similarly, for a person registered with AIRE (Registry of Italians Resident Abroad), a notice of death will be sent to the Italian Consulate in whose district the municipality of residence abroad is located.
In the event of a foreign national's death the office shall send to the respective consular representation in Italy a copy of the death certificate for the required fulfillment.
