From Monday 18 December 2006, for the boys of the schools of Bra, they leave again three of the lines "Pedibus", the bus on foot, that will allow to reach collectively, safely and on foot the city schools. These are the "Yellow Line", with the full-time elementary school "Edoardo Mosca" in via Montegrappa, of the "Red Line" that will reach the primary school of Largo Europa and the new "Linea azzurra", in the direction of Madonna's elementary schools Flowers. The three lines will be in service until Friday 22 December, and then resume on Monday 8 January 2007, at the end of the Christmas holidays. For the "Yellow Line", there are three terminus, with "Pedibus" that will all start at the 8 in the morning in the direction of the "Edoardo Mosca". Departure from via Crimea, from the gardens at the intersection with via Mercantini, with stop in piazza Martiri delle Foibe; from Piazza Carlo Alberto, with a stop off the Resistance, in front of the "Giovanni Arpino" multi-purpose cultural center; departure from Viale Industria, at the intersection with Via Solferino, with a stop near the Sportante center. Also the "Red Line", in the direction of the elementaries of wide Europe, will have three terminus, with early departure to the 7: 50. This is Corso IV Novembre, at the supermarket, with a stop at the intersection with Via Europa; of the public gardens of via Piumati, with a stop at the stationery; third stop in the tree-lined square of via Gabotto. Three terminus also for the new "Linea azzurra", which will lead the children to the primary school of Madonna Fiori. Departure to 7: 45 from Viale Madonna dei Fiori (furniture shop), with stop at the intersection with San Matteo street; second stop always along the boulevard at the height of the bar and terminus 3 in the street Ca 'del Bosco, in the parking lot behind the Sanctuary of the Madonna dei Fiori. For the latter the departure is fixed to 7: 50 The boys will be accompanied in the direction of schools by volunteers, parents or members of the civic group of Civil Protection, Uisp, the Voluntary Ecological Guards (GEV) and Legambiente. The classes that have registered the highest number of participants will be able to contribute, at the end of the school year, to the second "Pedibus Trophy", which provides cash prizes for the winning class, to be spent on the purchase of school supplies or donate to charity, discounts for the Bra pool courses and ice cream coupons in two locations in the historic center. Compared to the previous year, the lines dedicated to middle schools will not start, which have activated an autonomous project to reach schools on foot, and the "Blue" and "Green" lines, which allowed to reach the primary schools of "Providence" and of the "Men" in Via Marconi. "This is due to the fact that it was not possible to reach a minimum number of volunteers among the parents of the boys" - said the Councilor for Transport of the City of Bra, Roberto Russo. He adds: "Although Pedibus can count on the valuable support of groups of volunteers and associations, and from next February will also be able to use the collaboration of some" grandparents ", we believe it is correct to make parents more responsible and to start only those lines for which is a minimum number of adhesions. If this guarantee is reached on the other lines, these will be activated for the current year. This is because "Pedibus" fits in with a view to reducing traffic in the historic center but also because of its educational value towards younger people ".
