General Saverio Cotticelli, commander of the Piemonte region and Aosta Valley of the Carabinieri Armed Forces, was visiting Bra this morning, Tuesday 18 October 2005, where he met with Mayor Camillo Scimone in the Municipal Palace and the whole City Hall. Accompanied by the Captain Sandro Colongo's Commander, General Cotticelli has been able to exchange impressions with the representatives of the Civic Administration, hoping for ever greater cooperation between citizens and institutions in addressing issues of public order . The Mayor Scimone, on the other hand, stressed the importance of the work provided by the Army of Arms, recalling how often their presence on the ground is already useful to reassure citizens. On the occasion, General Cotticelli particularly noted the importance of a service offered by the Carabinieri, that is, the connection of alarms installed in private homes with the Carabinieri Operations Center. The official has called on the Administration to bring to the attention of citizenship this opportunity, which has no cost and the only formality of compiling a free paper application at the closest Army station.
General Cotticelli, at the Pemontese Summit of the Arma for just over a year, has held several command posts in Sicily, Campania, Puglia, Tuscany and in foreign missions abroad. He also took command positions at the Army's Army. (Rg)
