Social and health care services: info-branches in Bra and Alba
In addition to meetings, in-depth examinations and workshops on the territory for social well-being, the 2019 of "Talenti Latenti" will also see the opening in Bra and Alba of an access point to social and health and social services, a qualified space where citizens can receive, in a quick and simplified way, information concerning social and social health services. The desk - active starting from Wednesday 3 April 2019 in Bra and, from the next day, also in Alba - will provide information for the various types of citizens (minors, adults, elderly, families, disabled ...) on the services present on the territory and on the methods and procedures for submitting applications and documentation to access them. The new service stems from the collaboration between the Social Services of Bra and Alba, the ASL Cn2, the Social Cooperative Progetto Emmaus and the partner companies of the "Talenti Latenti" project (Dimar, Sebaste, Slow Food and Unisg) to offer employees and citizens a means of accessing the opportunities offered by the flexible and diversified welfare system.

New meetings in Bra with the Alzheimer Café
More than twenty people, including sick and relatives or "caregivers", took part in the first two meetings of the Alzheimer Cafe, a new territorial point of reference for people dealing with this disease and other forms of senile dementia. Participation in the first two mornings coordinated by psychologists Luisa Curti and Alessia Morelli at the Municipal Elderly Center in via Montegrappa where a series of events is scheduled to continue until next year is growing, and beyond expectations. The Alzheimer Café is open, on Friday mornings, from 9,30 to 11,30, every fortnight, and is an informal and welcoming place where people suffering from Alzheimer's or suffering from dementia disorders are engaged in recovery and maintenance activities residuals such as exercises that stimulate the memory or small manual activities. Meanwhile, their carers (who may be relatives or carers or those who take care of them at that time), have a way and time to meet, together with psychologists, to share problems and critical issues that they face every day. In this space of listening, information, training and self-help, it is also possible to share the emotional burden that accompanies the pathology, as well as to acquire useful tools to manage small and large everyday difficulties and take positive and proactive ideas. The next Alzheimer Cafe meeting is scheduled for 29 on Friday from 9.30.
The initiative is promoted by the Municipality of Bra with the association La Cordata. The Alzheimer Café is free and available to both the elderly and their carers and residents in the municipalities of the social-assistance basin of reference (Cherasco, Ceresole, La Morra, Narzole, Pocapaglia, Sanfrè, Santa Vittoria, Sommariva Bosco, Sommariva Perno , Verduno).
