Bra: history of the Italian Navy, projecting "The destiny of men"
Will be screened for free on Tuesday 28 May 2019 at 21 at the Cinema Impero in Bra (via Vittorio Emanuele II, 211) "The destiny of men", a film by Leonardo Tiberi that tells the story of one of the most acrobatic heroes of the First World War, Luigi Rizzo . The initiative, promoted by the Municipality of Bra and by the Braidese section of the National Sailors Association of Italy a few days before the Navy, brings to the stage the narration of the exploits of Rizzo, a seaman, admiral of the Navy and author of the Premuda's undertaking: the sinking 101 years ago, the 10 June 1918, of the Austrian battleship Santo Stefano alone, aboard a small Mas, a fast assault motorboat. A story that mixes memory, images of spectacular exploits, clashes by sea and between seamen, for whom a stronger and unwritten law can perhaps unite, despite the war, even two adversaries.
The greetings of the president of the Italian Navy Group Bra Pierbiagio Rivetti and of Anna Testa, a young fellow with a passion for Marina who contributed to the organization of the evening, will precede the screening.
