Also this year the museums of Bra will be protagonists of the "Night of museums", an initiative on a European scale that invites, on Saturday 19 May 2018, to discover the local museum heritage at a different time than usual. The museums of Bra, in fact, will be open to admission throughout the evening, up to 23,30: the "Craveri" and the Toy Museum open to the public at 19,30, Palazzo Traversa at 20,30, the Zizzola park already at 18. For the Museum Night there are also some theme events with a bill that comes alive from the afternoon with, at the 16, the opening of the personal exhibition of Michèle and Paul Bourrelly at the Caffè Garibaldi, in collaboration with the cultural association Albedo.
At 17, however, the noble floor of Palazzo Mathis hosts the presentation of the reprint of the collection of braidesi stories by Giovanni Arpino "Regina di cuoi" for the types of Araba Fenice. Speakers: Fabio Bailo, Cetta Bernardo and Tommaso Arpino. At the 18 appointment at the Zizzola "Casa dei Braidesi": the seasonal reopening of the museum and the park of Monte Guglielmo (open in via Fasola, 1 every Saturday and Sunday from 9 to 19) will be greeted by the concert of the town musical band "Giuseppe Verdi "which starts at 18,30.
At the same time, at the Toy Museum there is the meeting of the participants in "Bra in a click - Team photo treasure hunt through the streets of the city", an event organized in collaboration with the association Friends of museums with many awards in palio (registration by Monday 14 at the municipal library of Bra tel. 0172 413049). Before leaving for the "hunt", participants can enjoy an aperitif and receive the "race kit".
At 20,30, instead, at Palazzo Traversa, the workshop for children and families "Hunting for clues" is scheduled: following the instructions that will be provided, the participants will look for clues along the visit path and draw the fragments of a story that will then composed on large sheet in the hall of the piano nobile (Info and reservation required at 0172 423880). At the Craveri Museum, at the 21, we remember Mimmo Ferro, honorary conservator of ornithology of the museum, recently deceased, with a conference dedicated to the "New fauna of Roero" by Bruno Tibaldi.
